The universal handle at the heart of the Sievert Promatic torch system. Piezo trigger ignition with instant on/off, load-relieving two-stage trigger, bayonet burner fitting for tool-free changes, swivelling 3/8" LH hose connection and combined suspension hook and footstand. Working pressure 1.5–4 bar. 394g. Burners and hose nipple sold separately. No gas emission without a burner fitted.
The Sievert Promatic 3366 is the handle component of the Promatic system — the platform on which a wide range of Promatic burners connect via bayonet fitting for soldering, brazing, heating, shrinking, roofing and industrial applications. It is sold here as a standalone handle for those building a Promatic configuration, replacing a worn handle, or adding a second handle to an existing burner collection.
The load-relieving trigger is one of the Promatic's most practically significant features: it operates on two pressure stages. Light pressure holds the flame burning at reduced gas flow without straining the hand — relevant for continuous work sessions. Full release extinguishes the flame immediately. A non-return valve in the handle prevents any gas emission unless a burner is fitted — safe when burners are being swapped or the handle is set down. The combined suspension hook and footstand allows the handle to be set down or hung without resting the burner on the work surface. The swivelling 3/8" LH hose connection prevents hose tangling during operation.
Note: This handle is delivered without a hose nipple. A 3/8" LH hose nipple is required to connect a hose to this handle — available separately. Always use a propane regulator with this handle; working pressure 1.5–4 bar.
Key Features & Benefits
Piezo Trigger Ignition — Instant On/Off — Press the trigger to ignite; release fully to extinguish immediately. No matches or separate sparker required.
Load-Relieving Two-Stage Trigger — Light pressure maintains the flame at reduced flow without hand fatigue — for extended continuous work. Full release extinguishes.
Bayonet Burner Fitting — Tool-free, instant burner changes across the full Promatic burner range.
Non-Return Valve — No gas emission unless a burner is fitted — safe during burner changes and when the handle is set down without a burner.
Swivelling 3/8" LH Hose Connection — Handle rotates freely from the hose fitting — no hose tangling or drag during use.
Combined Suspension Hook & Footstand — Set the handle down safely or hang it between tasks without resting the burner on the work surface.
Brass Flame Adjustment Valve — Precise flame control independent of the trigger.
30% Glass-Fibre Reinforced Plastic with Double-Moulded Soft Grip — Maximum durability with extended-use comfort.
Working Pressure 1.5–4 Bar — Compatible with a wide range of Promatic burners across low and high pressure applications.
Ideal For
Building a new Sievert Promatic torch configuration
Replacing a worn or damaged 3366 handle
Adding a second Promatic handle to an existing burner collection
Any Promatic burner application — soldering, brazing, heating, shrinking, roofing
Why the Sievert Promatic Handle?
Load-relieving trigger is a significant ergonomic advantage for continuous work — Most torch handles require constant full grip pressure to maintain the flame. The Promatic's two-stage trigger holds the flame at reduced pressure without straining the hand — a meaningful difference across a full day of continuous soldering or heating work.
No gas without a burner fitted — practically important on a busy site — When burners are being swapped or the handle is set down between tasks, the non-return valve prevents any accidental gas release. It is a simple but important safety feature that standard torch handles do not have.
The bayonet system makes the handle a long-term investment — One 3366 handle with a selection of Promatic burners covers soldering, brazing, shrinking, heating and roofing applications. Buying burners separately is significantly more economical than buying complete kits for each application.
The Promatic system starts here. Add your choice of Promatic burners separately to build the torch configuration that suits your application.
