When you need to lay a large amount of bituminous membrane on a large flat roof area then the twin-head model will be your best option. It has two 60 mm gas burners that operate together over a wider area than the single-head model giving greater coverage speed and fewer passes are required to achieve this. Therefore, as a result of having two heads (compared to the single-head), the twin-head provides an increased rate of laying on large flat-roof areas due to the increased amount of bitumen laid down during each pass. The twin-head has an output of 180 kW at 4 bar which is approximately 60 % more than the single-head model.
As stated previously, the twin-head kit has been designed similarly to the single-head model therefore providing the same quality components including; 500mm long neck-tube, 3-metre length of high quality flexible hose, high-quality adjustable regulator capable of producing pressures up to 4-bar, and an ABS thermoplastic rubber handle. A minimum of 47 kg of propane cylinder is recommended for prolonged periods of continuous use by professionals at the highest possible output.
Note: The above specification refers to the power delivered to the flame at 4 bar. When laying bituminous membrane always move both flames evenly across the membrane surface, never leave either flame stationary or dwell on any given area. Always work safely when using gas-based torches for applying roofing materials.
