Alde 8mm Marine Gas Bubble Tester – Boat Safety Scheme Approved | LPG Leak Detector
Bubble tester LPG leak detector with two clear view ports. Downstream leak detection for marine and LPG systems. Installs down-stream of the regulator - if bubbles appear in the fluid filled viewing chamber, there is a downstream leak. 2 bar maximum working pressure, 12 kW capacity. Comes complete with testing fluid. 1 year parts and labor warranty.
The Alde bubble tester is a compulsory or highly advisable component for boats that fall within the scope of the Boat Safety Scheme - it is a passive gas leak test which does not require any equipment or knowledge other than observing the sight glass. The bubble tester is installed in line with the low-pressure gas supply immediately after the regulator output - the bubble tester sits in the area of constant gas pressure behind the regulator. If gas is leaking past the regulator while all appliances are turned off - this indicates that there is a downstream gas leak - bubbles will appear in the fluid filled viewing chamber. The bubble tester has two side view ports - one may observe the bubble tester from either side of the installation.
